Following the Caribbean Energy Summit held last week by Joe Biden, US Secretary of State John Kerry announced new funding for Caribbean and Central America renewable energy projects that bolster regional energy security. Secretary Kerry announced that,
“USAID funding associated with the Caribbean and Central American renewable energy project is going to come online tomorrow, May 4 and we are going to begin taking project applications right away,”
