1.25 MW solar PV plant inaugurated in Cuba

A new solar energy park has been inaugurated in Cuba.

The photovoltaic project was financed by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development.

Located in the province of Sancti Spiritus, the solar park will generate approximately 1, 875 MWh per year, which will be fed into the National Electro-Energetic System (SEN). The solar park will also offset 1,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide annualy.

This project will add to combined capacity of 63 MW in Sancti Spiritus which is to be connected into the SEN this year alone.
