María del Carmen Bonilla holds a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Finance and Banking from the School of Actuarial Science at Universidad Anáhuac.

She has extensive experience across both the public and private sectors. She has worked in international banking and derivatives markets, managing a broad range of financial instruments, including derivatives, debt securities, and equities.

In the public sector, she served as Investment Coordinator at the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS); Director General for Funding; and Head of the Public Credit and International Affairs Unit at Mexico’s Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP).
