  July 8 - 9, 2026 Mexico City, Mexico

Agenda

ITA-LAC 2026 moves industrial transformation from ambition to execution, anchored by the launch of the CIF Industry Decarbonization Program for Mexico and Brazil.

Day One | Enabling & Financing Industrial Transformation

Strategy, policy, and capital. Day One explores Mexico’s industrial transformation framework, hard-to-abate sector pathways across cement, steel, and chemicals, financing structures beyond CIF, and the conditions required to move projects toward bankability and scale. The day concludes with facilitated sector roundtables designed to feed directly into Day Two working sessions.

Day Two | From Strategy to Project Pipeline & Financial Close

Execution and implementation. Day Two opens with a CIF Application Clinic led by SHCP, the World Bank, and IDB, followed by facilitated working groups where project sponsors engage directly with CIF representatives, technical advisors, and financial structurers on project readiness, deal structuring, and next steps.

→ Participation in Day Two working sessions is intentionally limited to maintain a highly interactive working format among project sponsors, industrial operators, financial institutions, and implementation stakeholders. Qualified industrial companies and project sponsors receive priority access, while additional participation is subject to availability.

Two Models, One Program: Mexico and Brazil in the CIF Framework

A moderated conversation between senior government representatives from Mexico and Brazil on how each country is structuring industrial transition under the CIF program. Financing Architecture: Mobilizing Capital Beyond CIF

How multilateral banks, commercial lenders, and capital markets stack alongside concessional funds to reach project FID. 12:30-2:00

Networking Lunch

2:00-3:00

Hard-to-Abate Sectors: Technology Sequencing and Competitive Strategy

No single technology solves cement, steel, or chemicals. Industry leaders set out how they are sequencing CCUS, electrification, hydrogen, and efficiency to manage capex while staying competitive in export markets where carbon is increasingly priced. For example, powering hard-to-abate operations and site logistics with SAF and green fuel.

3:00-4:00

Structuring Bankable Projects: Term Sheets, Risk Allocation, and Returns

A working session on how industrial transformation projects allocate construction, offtake, technology, and currency risk between sponsors, lenders, and off-takers.

4:00-4:30

Coffee & Networking

4:30-5:30

Sector Roundtables

10:00-10:30

Coffee and Networking

10:30-12:30

Working Groups: Project Structuring

Participants self-select into facilitated working groups organized by industrial archetype. Each group includes a CIF or DFI representative, a technical advisor, and a financial structurer.
