Inès Ardelet is a Blended Finance Investment Officer at IDB Invest and is based in Washington D.C. Inès joined IDB Invest in 2023 and acts as focal point in the institution for the Climate Investment Funds (CIF), having supported the governments of Mexico and Brazil in the development of their Investment Plans for Industry Decarbonization. Inès is also responsible for the design of blended finance solutions in Latin America and the Caribbean for transactions with a social inclusion and climate change mitigation or adaptation component. Prior to joining IDB Invest, Inès advanced her career in development finance at Finance in Motion, working with financial institutions across Africa, and at the Green Climate Fund. Inès holds a Master of Science in Environment and Resource Management – Sustainable Energy from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
