Marité Chavira Mendoza is ESG Director at Banamex and has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector. In her current role, she leads the implementation of the bank’s ESG strategy, overseeing corporate transparency initiatives, environmental, social, and climate risk management, and sustainable finance strategies. She is also responsible for Banamex’s arts and culture development program and for strengthening employee engagement with local communities through volunteer initiatives.

Marité holds a master’s degree in Development Planning and Administration from University College London (UCL) and a bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus.
