Senior Coordinator, New Business Development and R&D/Innovation
PhD student in Public Policy and master’s in industrial engineering from UFRJ and Bachelor of Business Administration from UFF, Karla has more than 20 years of experience in the Brazilian electricity sector, most of it at Eletrobras, working in public policy management in energy efficiency and renewable energy, where she developed strategic partnerships and national and international cooperation agreements. Since 2017 Karla has been working at Eletronuclear, in the Presidency’s Advisory of Science, Technology, Innovation and Expansion of Generation. In addition, she coordinates the company’s R&D and Innovation management, and THE Executive Coordinator of Eletronuclear’ s Clean Hydrogen hub project. She is active in the community, collaborating in international and national relevant technical groups. She is coordinator of the Committee for Development of the Brazilian Nuclear Supply Chain at the nuclear industry association. Karla is also engaged in diversity-related movements such as Women in Nuclear and Women in Green Hydrogen. She is one of the co-authors of the book Nuclear Women, which will be published soon.
