Danae Díaz is an environmental engineering with studies in Environmental and Water Economy with MBA from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

Her working experience includes more than 15 years in consultancy and implementation of environmental projects at national and international level with private and public sector and international organism. At the beginning of her career, she participated in projects related to wastewater treatment and solid waste management and remediation.

Danae Diaz participated as Project Official in projects that aimed to reduce the consumption of Ozone Depleting Substances for the compliance of the compromises from Mexico with the Montreal Protocol, coordinating activities for project implementation with international agencies as UNIDO, UNEP, UNDP, WB, UNOPS, local NGO’s and academic institutions.

After the approval of the Kyoto Protocol, Danae Diaz has participated and managed several worldwide carbon projects as developer and auditor in carbon markets in scopes as wastewater treatment, solid waste, animal waste management, renewable energy, cogeneration energy, biomass, transport in America Latina and Asia.

 Since 2012, Danae Diaz is in charge of the Energy and Environmental Services Area at TÜV Rheinland Mexico. Her activities included the development and implementation of sustainability projects in public and private sector in America, including Decarbonization activities, Carbon Footprints, Water assessment, renewable energies and Risk Management.
