Senior Business Manager for Latin America and Caribbean: Clean Growth


Carolina Silva started her role as Business Manager for the Northern Powerhouse (NPH) in Latin America and the Caribbean in September 2020. She was the first of a number of Overseas Officers that the NPH established across the world. Her role is to drive forward increased commercial engagement between the region and the North of England, bringing together and pushing forward three priority agendas for the UK government – Levelling Up (increased opportunity, economic activity and jobs across all parts of England and nations), Clean Growth and seeking new trade partners having left the European Union. She has worked for the UK Government since 2015, initially as the Executive Assistant to Deputy Head of Mission, then to the Ambassador and lastly as Private Secretary to Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for LATAC. Carolina has a degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
