Carla Primavera is the Superintendent of the Energy Transition and Climate Division at BNDES, the Brazilian Development Bank. She is responsible for the teams that overlook financings for all energy projects, such as power generation, transmission, distribution, energy efficiency, new technologies, and natural gas. Her teams also coordinate the relationship between BNDES and other public and private institutions regarding these projects. She is also responsible for the teams that manage BNDES’s climate action strategies. She has been a BNDES tenure employee since 2000. Before her current position, she was a lawyer within BNDES, developing a broad experience leading legal teams in analyzing regulatory, contractual, corporate, financial, and environmental aspects of projects, always aiming to achieve long-term credit goals sustainably.

 

She holds a law degree from UERJ and has an MBA in Business Economics Law from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas
