Lead Mining Specialist
Natascha Nunes da Cunha, a Brazilian national, is Lead Mining Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she co-leads the Special Group on Mining, Geothermal Energy & Hydrocarbons. This unit is responsible for coordinating multisectoral efforts and providing technical assistance and loans to support better natural resource governance in the region. With over 17 years of professional experience, she has specialized in issues management, stakeholder engagement and sociopolitical risk analysis, with a focus on Latin America and the mining sector. Prior to joining the IDB, Natascha was Corporate Affairs manager at Vale, one of the world’s top mining companies. She holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in international Political Economy, both from the London School of Economics (LSE).
