Lina Castano Lujan

Lina currently works in the public sector. She started at the Ministry of Mining and Energy’s Electric Energy Direction as an expert advisor. She supported the preparation and review of policies, plans, programs for the generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization of electric energy and generation projects of energy through unconventional sources. In recent years, she has supported the Office of Environmental and Social Affairs of the Ministry of Mining and Energy in the implementation of the Mitigation Component of the Climate Change Management Plan in the mining-energy sector.

 

Since 2019, she has supported the government initiative to promote geothermal development led by the Ministry of Mines and Energy. She has been the coordinator of the working groups with all the entities of the sector and environmental authorities of the state and has participated in the elaboration of the regulatory framework that is being defined in Colombia.
