Dr. Jeanne Vidal

University of Chile
PhD in Geology

Dra. Jeanne Vidal is a geologist who focuses her research on natural fracture systems and alteration processes. She started her career in geothermal on projects in the Upper Rhine Graben in Europe in 2010. She specialized in characterization of deep circulations with well-logging data, especially acoustic images in deep wells and developed skills in XRD and SEM methodologies to study clays in hydrothermal systems. Since 2019, her postdoctoral mission at the Andes Geothermal Center of Excellence contributes to a better understanding of the evolution of clays in geothermal contexts in Chile. She became involved in the French WING chapter in 2018 and has been an ambassador for WING Chile since 2020.
