Energy Specialist
Huong Mai Nguyen is an Energy Specialist in the World Bank’s Energy and Extractives Global Practice based in Washington, DC. She has ten years of experience in planning, preparing and implementing a range of renewable energy and energy access projects in Indonesia, Myanmar and Mongolia, as well as improving governance of extractive industries in resource-rich countries in the Africa Region. Huong currently leads the Indonesia Geothermal Energy Upstream Development Project (GEUDP), which supports the Government of Indonesia in implementing four greenfield geothermal developments in eastern Indonesia through government-sponsored exploration drilling as first step in a Public Private Partnership model for power plant construction and operation.
