Gloria Arancibia Hernández

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile
Associate Professor and Postgraduate Director of the School of Engineering

Gloria is a Geologist and has a PhD in Geology from the University of Chile. She has worked in the development of geothermal projects in Chile since 2011. She is an expert in tectonics, structural geology and geo-fluid flow. The objective is to better understand the dynamic interaction processes between fault networks of different nature and the migration and evolution of cortical fluids. Within the Geothermal Center of Excellence of the Andes, Gloria is in charge of specifying the geometry, kinematics and deformation conditions of the fracture networks that conduct hydrothermal fluids, through the structural and micro-structural analysis of case studies related to the systems of Andean fault. Gloria is Associate Professor and Postgraduate Director of the School of Engineering of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
