Andrea Gaviano is an environmental engineer with over 10 years of international experience with multilateral development banks and other Lenders, in both private and public sectors, focusing on high risk/complex infrastructure projects including energy and extractive industries. Currently, environmental and social specialist at IDB’s Environmental and Social Solutions Unit (ESG) and, previously, project manager in environmental consultancy firms. Technical background on wastewater treatment, waste management, air pollution and soil contamination and skilled in the evaluation and preparation of environmental and social impact assessments and management programs. Field experience in over 30 countries throughout Africa, Middle East, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean.
