He is the current president of La Geo S.A. de C.V., a geothermal company in El Salvador, with more than 500 employees, two geothermal power facilities in operation with an installed capacity of 204 MW. The company is developing the construction of the second Binary Unit in Belin geothermal field which will generate 7 MW by the end of 2021, and the new geothermal fields of San Vicente and Chinameca.

Mynor Gil is Salvadorian identified with Japanese culture, he studied at The Tokyo School of the Japanese Language, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and graduated in programming from Fujitsu Technical School, Kawasaki, Japan. He obtained his University Marketing degree at the Universidad Politecnica of El Salvador and achieved his Master’s Degree in Marketing from the Universidad Pontificia Católica de Chile.

He is a person focused on social welfare; in his spiritual and professional growth, which has led him to work in different industries.

His commercial experience has been developed as manager and executive vice-president of the companies Caribbean Imports S.A de C.V. and Global Motors S.A de C.V.

During the period 2015 to 2018, he worked as District Director in the municipality of San Salvador, carrying out activities such as coordination, supervision and direction of community care plans in economic, political, social, cultural, environmental, among others.

All this journey has led him to be now the president of LaGeo SA de CV and mark a new stage in the development of geothermal energy, promoting projects that seek to improve geothermal energy production, contribute to the country with new projects for the generation of clean energy and support energy policies, seeking to protect the geothermal resources available in El Salvador. As well as continuing to be positioning the company as a benchmark within the geothermal industry in the region.
