Christoph Sigrist is serving as Chair of the Council of the Geothermal Development Facility for Latin America since its start of operation in 2016. From 2008 to 2017 he has lead KfW’s Energy and Financial Sector Division for Latin America and the Caribbean guiding the
structuring of various key renewable and energy efficiency initiatives. Previously he acted as Regional Manager for East Asia and the Pacific and as Head of Division for KfW’s Innovation and Venture Capital Financing in Germany. He also served as Advisor to the German
Executive Director to the World Bank. He holds a PhD in Political Science from University of Freiburg, Germany and a Master in Economics from Georgetown University, Washington D.C.
