Currently, Mr. Monroy Parada is the Chief Technical Officer of LaGeo S.A. de C.V. technically manage the geoscientific, drilling, environment, engineering, production, and commercial areas to achieve the goals of the company. He is leading LaGeo to continue been one of the company references for Latin America in the Geothermal Industry.  He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Centroamericana Jose Simeon Cañas – UCA, El Salvador.  He is also finalizing a M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Engineering focusing his studies on project management, at the University of Reykjak, with the financial support of the United Nations University from its Geothermal Training Programme (UNU-GTP).  He received a scholarship as a fellow in Geothermal Utilization from the UNU-GTP in 2013.  In addition, he has fifteen years of experience in the development of geothermal projects, the mechanical design of gathering systems, operation and maintenance of geothermal fields and power plants at LaGeo in El Salvador. This experience has allowed him to participate and lead multidisciplinary teams that carried on geothermal projects, power plants maintenance, budget planning and control and project management for more than 200 MW.
