The 7th Geothermal Congress for Latin America & the Caribbean (GEOLAC 2020) went virtual for 2020, with an online program on September 15-17, 2020! This new platform offered new opportunities — for deeper dives, access to more key decision-makers and thought leaders, a more inclusive audience, virtual meet-ups, and expert insights delivered directly to attendees. The biggest benefit? A format that was creatively re-imagined to focus on in-depth conversations with leaders in Latin America’s geothermal market.

GEOLAC is the only gathering of the region’s leading geothermal stakeholders on the annual calendar

Launched in 2012, GEOLAC brings together public, private and multilateral stakeholders for three days of intensive networking and interaction on the prospects for investment in geothermal region-wide. After six successful consecutive editions, GEOLAC returned for a fully virtual conference featuring engaging and informative plenaries, breakouts, networking opportunities and a virtual pavilion.

GEOLAC 2020: Who Attended?

GEOLAC gathered senior government officials from Latin American and Caribbean countries, in addition to the multilateral lenders and the main private sector players active in geothermal across the region.

  • Senior regional government officials
  • Geothermal developers and investors
  • Multilateral and other key funding agencies
  • Leading technical and legal advisors
