Virginia Brandon is the Representative of the World Bank office in Chile as of July 1, 2019. She began her work at the World Bank in 2010 as Advisor to the Executive Director for the United States.

Mrs. Brandon has extensive experience in the Development Area of the Private and Financial Sectors; in particular in the Latin American and Caribbean Region. She has worked as an Advisor of two vice presidents in the Areas of Equitable Growth and Finance and Institutions and in the Finance Board of the World Bank.

Prior to joining the World Bank, Virginia Brandon worked in the public sector as an International Economist in the United States Department of the Treasury and in the private sector as Adviser and Accountant. Virginia Brandon has a BA in International Business from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Economic Development and Finance from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
