Rosa Escobar is the engineering manager at El Salvador’s national geothermal company LaGeo, where among her many achievements she has overseen the development of geothermal facilities in Chinameca and San Vicente. During her two decades of experience, she has also served as a project designer and supervisor, civil works coordinator, and as a delegate to the UNFCCC, where she was the first-place winner in the “Women for Results,” segment for her work on the project “Harvesting Geothermal Energy.” She has a degree in architecture from the Universidad Centroamericana José Simeón Cañas (UCA), as well as a postgraduate degree in business administration from the same university.
