Martin Walter is the regional coordinator for the Mining, Geothermal, and Hydrocarbons Cluster at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He is based in Santiago de Chile and currently supervises sector IDB operations in Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Peru. He holds a Political Science PhD. from Northwestern University and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (IEP-Paris) and a MA in comparative politics (IEP-Paris) and has published research on water management, extractive sector policy and institutional frameworks, clean technologies and environmental impacts from mining, and practices to promote shared value.
