Neha Mukhi

Neha Mukhi is a Senior Energy and Climate Change Specialist at the World Bank based in Washington, DC working on sustainable finance and clean and resilient energy transition. Neha leads the energy sector engagements in Latin America and the Caribbean region. Currently she is leading the WB-financed geothermal support in Saint Lucia and ramping up engagement with more countries in the region. She is also the lead for development and implementation of WB-financed regional initiative on Caribbean Resilient Renewable Energy Infrastructure Investment Facility (RREIIF) that uses innovative financial solutions to mobilize private capital for affordable, clean and resilient energy in the region.

Previously, in the Africa region, she led WB’s climate change engagement in South Africa to advance efforts on long-term climate and development strategies through ‘whole of economy’ approaches. Neha has also led WB’s global engagement on integrating resilience in energy sector planning and investments to inform WB country engagements. In her prior roles, she led a range of initiatives focusing on energy transition and climate change supporting countries in their national development actions and working internally in the WB to develop and implement climate-related policies. She has also worked on clean energy investments and strategies in East Asia and South Asia.

Neha has an M.S. in Energy and Climate Policy from Harvard University and Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, India.
