Michelle Ramírez Bueno has over twelve years of experience collaborating with governments in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia, as well as international agencies and development banks, to develop innovative public policies, regulations, and financing mechanisms for geothermal energy. She was the first Director for Geothermal at the Mexican Ministry of Energy and served as a Programme Officer for IRENA’s Global Geothermal Alliance.
As a consultant, Michelle is recognized as a leading non-technical expert in the geothermal sector, leveraging her deep understanding of energy policies to promote climate action and energy transitions. She is also a proud ambassador for Women in Geothermal (WING), advocating for diversity and inclusion within the industry.
