Energy Expert
Manabu Sugioka is former senior advisor in Energy and Mining Group at the Japan International Cooperation Agency. He currently works at the Development Bank of South Africa as a secondment expert, where he supports energy project transactions. His role involves technical, financial and investment projects, as well as knowledge sharing initiatives. He provides advice on planning, monitoring, administration, management and evaluation of the projects.
He has been engaged in many geothermal projects across the world including Latin America, some of which he helped advance to the financing stage. His advisory work covers not only technical aspects but also financial, administrative and institutional matters to achieve development of geothermal fields.
