With 26 years of experience across roles in Wireline, Petrophysics, Technology, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), and Circular Economy applications, César Patiño is a leader in integrating innovative approaches to energy transition. He has pioneered the integration of geothermal energy with existing subsurface assets, developing co-production alternatives, methodologies, and processes to maximize their value. As part of Ecopetrol’s strategy, he is spearheading the development of White Hydrogen, leveraging database insights and interdisciplinary collaboration to advance this initiative both in Colombia and internationally. Additionally, he is driving the creation of new methodologies for decarbonization, including ECOMACC and abatement cost curves for field development, focusing on carbon intensity evaluations to meet sustainability goals.
