Gaston brings 20 years of experience in the energy sector. He is currently Director of the Methane Emissions Observatory for Latin America and the Caribbean (OEMLAC) and Technical Advisor at the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE). In these roles, he leads projects focused on decarbonization, geothermal, sustainable mining, and new-generation fuels. Prior to joining OLACDE, he serves as Director of Technology within the Secretariat of Energy of Argentina and he works for the IDB in the Energy Division Director of Technology.
Gaston is an Industrial Engineer graduated from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology (ITBA), and a Mechanical Engineer from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Toulouse.
