Energy-sector professional with a solid trajectory at Pemex Exploration and Production, the National Hydrocarbons Commission, and the National Autonomous University of Mexico, recognized for his experience in geoenergies, energy transition, petroleum regulation, and the strategic management of high-impact projects.

He currently serves as Deputy Director of Geoenergies within the Directorate of Energy Transformation, leading initiatives aimed at harnessing geothermal energy and other non-conventional subsurface resources. His leadership promotes the adoption of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies, the assessment of clean energy resources, and the development of partnerships to strengthen innovation in energy efficiency.
