Alejandra is a senior executive with over 20 years of successful experience in working on climate change, green finance, agriculture and energy in developing economies. A versatile, creative and entrepreneurial, with strong communication skills generated by the experience of working in multicultural environments, in positions where communication is important and teamwork, essential. Alejandra is founder and director of GENESIS, a consultancy firm dedicated to Climate Change and Sustainable Financing. Alejandra is currently advising the G20 Presidency of Indonesia in Sustainable Finance and is a permanent consultant for UNDP. She was an advisor: to the G20 presidency on issues of Sustainability and Climate Finance, the United Nations (UNDP and UNIDO), the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange (BCBA), the Ministries of Environment and Agroindustry of Argentina and the Ministries of Environment and Energy (MIEM) from Uruguay, WWF (World wildlife Fund), Vida Silvestre Argentina and several private companies. She is involved in projects financed by the UKPACT Green Recovery Challenge Fund in Argentina and the Prosperity Fund of the UK government in Colombia. She has more than 20 years of international experience in environmental markets (carbon credit markets and more recently green bond markets, and ESG reporting). She worked for more than a decade at BUNGE SA, serving as head of International Climate Change policies, reporting to the company’s board of directors in New York. She was also director in London for the first most prestigious private Climate Change Think Tank: Climate Change Capital. Previously, she worked in the oil and gas industry with strong experience in emission reduction projects in said industry. She has participated in the development of more than 350 climate, environmental and social projects. She has been a speaker at several international conferences on climate change and sustainable financing. Alejandra has two bachelor’s degrees and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas.
