Nigel Hosein has a BSc. Mechanical Engineering Degree from UWI (1989) with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (1995) from Andrews University (Michigan). He is currently (since July 2021) the Business Development Manager – Caribbean for AGGREKO.

Nigel has significant expertise at senior management levels in the areas of 1) Business & Engineering Management, 2) Project Management and Engineering Design in the Electric Utility and Construction industries, 3) Energy Efficiency/Conservation and Renewable Energy, and 4) Utility Regulatory Reform in the electric utility sector. Throughout his 30+ years career he has managed and worked on various projects in the Caribbean/CARICOM Region (inclusive of Guyana and Suriname), including a 7-year period in Grand Cayman with the electric utility company (CUC), an approx. 5 year period as the Executive Director of CARILEC (Caribbean Regional Electric Utility Association) and a 6-year period as the Vice-President of Energy Production & Project Management at FortisTCI Ltd (the electric utility in Turks and Caicos Islands).
