Karina Chez is an accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in the fields of entrepreneurship, marketing, and renewable energy. She is the former co-founding president of ASOFER in the Dominican Republic, and currently serves as the Executive Director of KAYA Energy Group, a leading engineering and finance firm specializing in renewable energy solutions in the Caribbean. In addition, she is a startup investor and Chairman of the Chez Group, which includes ventures such as Chez Space SRL and MGK Real Estate.
Prior to her current roles, Karina was the Director of Marketing at JumpTV (TSX: JTV), where she played a key role in the growth and success of the pioneering IPTV company. She has also worked extensively in various countries, including Egypt, Jordan, New York, Canada, London, Colombia, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates, where she founded the highly successful digital marketing firm Chess Group, with clients such as Nickelodeon and RTL Disney.
Karina’s previous experience also includes working for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), where she honed her skills in project management and community development. More recently, she has worked with government and private institutions in Kenya, focusing on community education programs in Machakos.
Karina is currently the president of Entrepreneurs’ Organization Dom. Rep., and a founding member of TheSheLab in Charlottesville, Virginia. She holds an MBA from Pace University, a Master’s in Political and Economic Development from Columbia University, and is currently enrolled in a Masters in Entrepreneurship from MIT University, further expanding her knowledge and skills in the field of entrepreneurship.
