Senior Country Officer, Caribbean Country Management Unit


Federico Baechli is Senior Country Officer in the World Bank’s Caribbean Country Management Unit, based in Kingston, Jamaica. He serves as country coordinator for Belize, Barbados, The Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago and the Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs) in the Caribbean. Mr. Baechli is responsible for developing country programs, overseeing the portfolios and pipelines, and managing strategic engagements and policy discussions with respective clients and stakeholders. Prior to this he served as Senior Operations Officer in the Office of the Regional Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean, World Bank. He also served in in the World Bank’s Operations Policy and Country Services (OPCS) and held various positions in the World Bank Group’s Corporate Secretariat (SEC), focusing on development effectiveness and governance. He holds a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and International Business from The George Washington University School of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Denison University.
