Evenson Calixte received his doctorate degree in electrical engineering in December 2004 from Nagoya University in Japan.
Dr. Calixte is the dean of the School of Science, Engineering and Architecture at Quisqueya University. He is also Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs at the same University. He is a part-time lecturer at the School of Science at the State University of Haiti.
In 2012, he was an energy advisor to the Minister of the Environment of Haiti. From March 2017 to July 2021, he was the Energy Advisor to the late President Jovenel Moise of Haïti . In October 2017, Mr. Calixte was also appointed by presidential decree as Managing Director of the National Energy Regulatory Authority for the Energy Sector (ANARSE). As a regulator, he is leading the reform in the energy sector in Haiti to increase the energy access with private sector participation. As for now, he is working on various energy projects: PV mini grids deployment, mesh grids solutions, etc.
