First Secretary Canadian High Commission in Barbados | Alternate Director for Canada
Dorothée Roy has worked for the Government of Canada for the last 18 years. She is currently Alternate Director for Canada to the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and First Secretary (development) at the High Commission of Canada in Barbados. In addition to the support she provides to Canada’s Director to the CDB, Dorothée has been working closely with the CDB on the Canada Support Energy Sector for the Caribbean (CSES-C) project. She is also actively engaged in other initiatives supporting climate finance and economic growth in the Caribbean region. Before moving to the Caribbean, Dorothee worked as the institutional lead for Canada with the African Development Bank and as a Senior Advisor on the implementation of innovative finance projects in Global Affairs Canada. Dorothée has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Ottawa and a master’s degree in International Relations from Laval University (Québec City)
