Clive Hosten holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of the West Indies and completed his MBA at the University of Bath in England. Mr. Hosten is also PMP certified and has completed a series of IOSH and OSHA certification courses in Health and Safety. He has over 34 years of experience in working in the energy sector. He joined Grenlec as a trainee engineer and moved on to become the Production Manager with responsibility for Power Plants and was instrumental in the development of new power plants at Queens Park and Carriacou.

Mr. Hosten was then promoted to the position of Chief Engineer responsible for the company’s technical operations and strategic direction including health and safety and renewable energy. He was active in the installation of new substations and 33kV transmission lines as part of the energy development plan in the southern part of Grenada and the installation of solar panels on all of Grenlec’s buildings and properties.

Mr. Hosten is the Chairman of the Management Retirement Trust at Grenlec. He is an Accredited Director with the ECSE. Mr. Hosten is the Acting General Manager of Grenlec.
