Ciani Smith is a joint Project Finance and Political Risk Insurance Officer in the Office of Structured Finance and Insurance at the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC, formerly OPIC). Prior to DFC, Ciani has held roles at HSBC Real Assets and Export Finance covering the Americas, US EXIM Trade Credit Insurance, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, as well as at PepsiCo in B2B marketing analytics, sales operations, and business development for Pepsi Beverages. Ciani holds a Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College in French Literature with concentrations in Economics and Classical Music and a Master of Science in Foreign Service in Global Business & Finance from Georgetown University with specializations in corporate finance, political risk, and trade policy. In her free time, Ciani enjoys running, meditation, art, and spending time with her Yorkie puppy.
