Chong is an Energy Specialist working at the World Bank in ESMAP, a unit that focuses on analytical and advisory services for sustainable energy solutions that support the World Bank’s country financing and policy dialogue in the energy sector. He currently co- leads the ESMAP Energy Storage Program and his primary focus areas are on energy storage, power system planning and VRE grid integration. Prior to working in the World Bank, Chong worked in a private sector firm related to power transmission and distribution. He holds a PhD in electrical engineering focusing on power systems and renewable energy.
