Suzanne is Managing Director and Head of Impact Investment of The Leap Co., a company that supports and invests in businesses in the Caribbean that deliver positive social or environmental impact alongside solid financial returns.

Suzanne has 15 years’ international experience in sustainable energy, CO2 mitigation and technology evaluation. In her role as Head of Impact Investment, Suzanne oversees the Leap Impact Investment Fund, established in partnership with JN Fund Managers of Jamaica. Two key target areas of the Fund are sustainable energy and climate resilience.

Suzanne specializes in economic and financial analysis of projects and investments. She has advised Caribbean governments and multilateral financing institutions on sustainable energy and climate resilience projects of cumulative US$ 1 billion, contributing to the implementation of a Solar Schools PPP project in Jamaica, and an electric vehicles initiative in St. Vincent. Suzanne was also an advisor in the conceptualisation of the Caribbean Climate Smart Accelerator, a newly-formed organisation established to drive resiliency in the Caribbean.

Prior to returning to the Caribbean in 2012, Suzanne worked for various European institutions, advising on low-carbon energy strategies and on incentives for sustainable energy development. She also worked as a consultant helping energy companies green their energy supply portfolios.

Suzanne has a PhD in Economics from Université Paris-Dauphine, an MSc in Energy and Environmental Economics from Ecole Polytechnique, and a BSc in Chemical and Process Engineering from the University of the West Indies.
