Systems Engineer
Antonio Sealy is a Systems Engineer on the Customer Solutions Team at the Barbados Light and Power Company (BLPC) and provides technical support to Emera Caribbean Incorporated (ECI). In this role, he is building and promoting a clean energy vision and transition strategy for the island of Barbados.
In his three (3) years at the Company, Antonio has taken on the challenge of propelling electric mobility. He is the technical lead for E-mobility at BLPC and as such provides support to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources (MEWR) and the Barbados Transport Board (BTB) as a member of the implementation committee for their respective electrification and electric bus projects. He has been critical in collecting data, evaluating opportunities and assessing the grid impact of increased penetration of electric vehicles (EVs) on the island.
Antonio has a BSc. (Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the West Indies with first class honors and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) in the UK. He also has a certificate in Automotive Engineering from IMI for his work on electric vehicles and is now seeking to become a certified trainer for EVs in the near future.
