Parliamentary Secretary Isaac Rankine is assigned to the Ministries of Planning, Agriculture, Housing and Infrastructure, as well as Home Affairs in the Cayman Islands Government. He was charged with these portfolio areas under the PACT government in 2021.

PS Rankine was elected as the independent representative and Member of Parliament for the East End District in the 2021 general elections.

In his early career, Mr. Rankine worked at the Public Works Department in the Cayman Islands Government as a surveyor’s assistant. He transitioned to the private sector where he served for many years at Cable and Wireless Limited in several capacities including as technical support manager, customer engineering manager and later as international account manager at the regional office. He left Cable and Wireless Limited in 2003 to start his company, Business Solutions Technologies Group Limited.

Mr. Rankine is a graduate of Cayman Islands High School (now John Gray High) and the East End Primary where he completed his elementary education after spending his early years in Jamaica. He also attended the Cable and Wireless College in the United Kingston where he obtained a B-TEC Technician diploma. A lifelong learner, he has completed a number of professional development training courses in the areas of business and project management and is currently pursuing a programme in business administration at Florida Institute of Technology.

Mr. Rankine, who lives in East End, has three children and three grandchildren.
