The stylish new $50 million hotel features 220 rooms and offers more than 18,600 square feet of meeting space in six separate rooms, the largest being the main ballroom, with a capacity to seat up to 600 people. It is 17 km from Norman Manley International Airport.
Airy, polished rooms provide complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and mini fridges, as well as tea and coffee-making equipment. Parking is free. There’s also a gym, an outdoor pool with a bar, and a breezy tapas bar that offers a breakfast buffet.
Like the other AC hotels, AC Kingston will feature two food and beverage concepts: AC Kitchen, focused on a European-style breakfast; and AC Lounge, a bar-eatery with tapas and meals for lunch and dinner and a full bar.
The new hotel has also already shown its commitment to being an environmentally-friendly resort. Not only is the property fitted with more than 200 solar panels and energy-efficient glass, but it is the first hotel in Jamaica to offer electric car charging, as part of a partnership established between the hotel, the ATL Automotive Group, and Jamaica Public Service (JPS). The custom-designed charging station will allow electric and plug-in hybrid car owners free charging facilities within the property.
