Senior Investment Officer
Michelle Ottey is a Senior Investment Officer with over 20 years of emerging market experience in corporate and investment banking and advisory services. She joined IFC in 2009 to lead IFC Advisory Services in Public Private Partnerships for the Caribbean, which acts as Advisors to Governments in the structuring and execution of Public Private Partnerships (PPP’s) and privatizations. She has structured PPP’s in numerous sectors including Transport, Telecommunications, Renewable Energy, Water and Sanitation, Health and Education and Insurance. In 2015, she assumed additional responsibilities in IFC Corporate Finance Services which provides mergers and acquisitions solutions for private sector clients.
She has direct experience in a wide range of financial products, including M&A, privatizations, PPPs, debt and equity. Prior to joining IFC, she was a Vice President, Global Corporate Bank at Citigroup, Jamaica.
Ms. Ottey holds a BSc from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from the Universities of Manchester and Wales, UK with a specialization in Finance.
