Andreea Popescu is currently an Investment Officer at the European Investment Bank, responsible for all public sector projects in the Caribbean region. She has led the appraisal and implementation of multiple projects across the Caribbean, with a particular focus on post-disaster recovery, climate adaptation and resilience. Andreea is also involved in the development of innovative financial instruments aimed at supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

In addition, Andreea has more than 7 years’ experience in macroeconomic research, financial analysis and risk management, gained by working both in the private and public sector. She has been a lecturer at the Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg over the past four years, where she teaches risk management and banking regulation.
