Bermuda Skyport Corporation Limited
President

With over 20 years’ experience in the Aviation, Tourism and International Business sectors, Aaron is the President of Bermuda Skyport Corporation (Skyport), a company established in March 2017, to operate the Bermuda L.F. Wade International Airport and complete a near $300 million redevelopment project that features a new passenger terminal that is due to open in 2020.

Prior to Skyport’s inception, Aaron led the airport for 10 years when he became its youngest ever General Manager at the age of 36 after having spent some time stationed at Orlando’s International Airport. As Airport GM, and now as President of Skyport, Aaron is responsible for the operation and management of the airport’s infrastructure and its Terminal facility which handles up to 1 million passengers annually. His role also requires him to work closely with the US and UK Governments on matters concerning airspace and aviation security; and with airlines on route development opportunities for Bermuda, many of which have successfully materialized into new air services, including new introductory flights by JetBlue and WestJet.

Before joining the Airport, Aaron was with the Bermuda International Business Association (now the Bermuda Development Agency) as head of its marketing program to re-brand the organization and to position Bermuda as the premier international jurisdiction for financial, legal and reinsurance business.

Prior to that, Aaron oversaw market research for the Bermuda Department of Tourism, where he served as a representative for a joint Tourism and Transportation negotiating team formed to carry out meetings with major airlines. Aaron played an active role in the development of both the Department’s airline and cruise ship policies when he took over policy and market strategy analysis responsibilities. Under the Minister of Tourism & Transport, he was appointed to the Airline Policy Review Committee, a group comprised of representatives from both the private and public sectors, to create a comprehensive airline strategy that would bring about affordable and convenient air service links to Bermuda.

Aaron is an active member of the Airport Council International (ACI), the global representative organization for nearly 2,000 airports from around the world. Aaron serves on its Latin America Caribbean Board having previously represented the region on the ACI World Governing Board. He is a former member of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce Board, the Bermuda National Tourism Board, and the Raleigh International Bermuda Board.

Aaron has an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Bentley University in Massachusetts and a Masters in Business Administration.
