David Staples develops new business opportunities with a focus on infrastructure and businesses in the sustainable “green economy” sector. Mr. Staples has been a leader in introducing Public Private Partnerships to Barbados and innovative project financing structures. He has led efforts in the development of Renewable Energy, Water and Wastewater and the Solid Waste businesses, most recently developing the first Green Energy Bond to be raised in the Eastern Caribbean. Mr. Staples Chairman of Williams Caribbean Capital Ltd, Doyle Offshore Sails and Concordia Manufacturing in the U.S. He is also an Executive Director of the prestigious Williams Industries Group of Companies. He holds a Bachelor’s from the University of California, a Masters from Washington University in St. Louis and an Masters degree from Harvard University. He has been resident in Barbados since 1983.
