Baldath Ramkissoon, General Manager and Chief Risk Officer, Group Risk, is a member of the Republic Group for more than two decades, has significant industry expertise in Treasury Management (liquidity, foreign exchange, interest rate and electronic payment systems), Portfolio Management, Credit and Investment Risk Determination. Mr. Ramkissoon has served as General Manager, Treasury, Manager, Latin American Investments; Manager, Trust and Asset Management Division; Investment Manager, Republic Wealth Management Limited; and Senior Manager, Treasury. He has represented the Bank at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Caribbean Roundtable Discussions on Correspondent Banking Withdrawal in 2018 and has served as Deputy Chairman and Vice-President of the Mutual Fund Association of Trinidad and Tobago. Mr. Ramkissoon holds a Master of Science in Finance with Distinction from the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business (UWI); a Master of Business Administration from Heriot Watt University; and a Bachelor of Science in Management with Honours from the University of London. He has completed several courses and seminars on credit, risk management and investments, including Euromoney’s Financial Market Products; Pension Management at UBS, Puerto Rico; International Portfolio Management at Allianz, Germany; and McKinsey’s Asset Management CEO Summit in the United Kingdom. In 2015, Mr. Ramkissoon was awarded the Programme Director’s Award (Master of Science in International Finance) by the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business (UWI).
