Franklin Acevedo leads EDC’s operations in Peru. In 2017, he pursued the incorporation of a new and stronger Peruvian Renewable Association in order to boost the renewable industry in Peru and improved the dialogue between the renewable investors with the Peruvian Government. In such regard, on December 2017, the Sociedad Peruana de Energías Renovables was created and Franklin Acevedo is named General Manager of this important organization.

 Before he assume the responsibility of introduce a geothermal industry in Peru and increase the participation of renewable energies in the Peruvian electricity market; he worked in top law firms giving legal and regulatory advice and helping the development of all major renewable generation projects for the past 10 years.

 With more than 10 years of experience working in the Peruvian electricity market, Franklin Acevedo hold a law degree in the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and complementary courses in Finance and Business Development by the same University.
