Peter Johansen is a Senior Energy Specialist in the World Bank’s Energy and Extractives Global Practice based in Washington, DC. He holds an M.Sc. degree from the Technical University of Denmark and has more than 35 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, 18 years of which while working in the World Bank. He has led the WB support to three geothermal projects in Indonesia resulting in 150 MW in operation and a project portfolio of private and public sector projects under preparation that will add more than 1 GW of additional geothermal capacity.  He is presently in the World Bank’s Latin America and Caribbean Region where he is providing support to the preparation of geothermal operations in El Salvador, St. Lucia and Dominica.
