Paul Ramsak has been involved in geothermal energy since the year 2000 and has been one of the key-persons to get geothermal energy off the ground in the Netherlands. He was responsible for initiating the Dutch Geothermal Association in 2002, and has been closely involved in getting the first successful geothermal projects realized in the Netherlands from 2007 on. Paul has been working at the Energy department of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl), and its predecessors since 1996 and he is the central contact for geothermal energy. He is also one of the founding fathers and the strategy lead of GEOTHERMICA (www.geothermica.eu), a network of public authorities of now 15 European states and the USA that cooperate closely on accelerating geothermal energy deployment.
